About Our Institute

The Institute for Grapevine and Wine (INVIW) is a non-governmental organization established in 2024. It brings together university professors, renowned researchers, engineers, enthusiasts, wine culture advocates, and tourism professionals.

Our Mission

The main goals and activities of INVIW include:

  • Developing cooperation and advancing research in the field of autochthonous, introduced, and new grapevine varieties, cultivation of wine and table grape varieties, as well as improving grape and wine production in Montenegro;

  • Affirming, presenting, and promoting Montenegrin viticultural and winemaking heritage both nationally and internationally;

  • Organizing and supporting non-formal and lifelong education in the fields of viticulture and oenology technology, science, culture, and related services;

  • Participating in national and international programs, projects, and funding opportunities;

  • Popularizing scientific, professional, and popular publications in electronic and printed form on topics related to viticulture, winemaking, wine economics, and wine tourism;

  • Enhancing, popularizing, and improving the quality of wine culture, science, technology, and service.

Members of INVIW have extensive experience in research and participation in numerous national and international projects. Their strong professional credentials confirm that all planned activities will be fully and successfully implemented to the highest standards.
